The Le@rning Federation has a range of licence options available to educational publishers and product vendors in the Australian and New Zealand education sectors.

We encourage you to review the options available below or to contact TLF's Intellectual Property Manager to express interest in licensing TLF content.

How to cite TLF content

If you wish only to cite TLF content, please read the guidelines for citation and reproduction of TLF material, linked below, to learn how to reference content effectively.

How to license content for commercial purposes

Publishers, providers of educational products and services, and other organisations interested in distributing TLF content with their material are invited to read about the program TLF offers within Australia and New Zealand, linked below, and to submit an application.

Applications are considered by a TLF panel that applies the evaluation criteria set out in the application document. An annual service fee is payable and the content that is offered is limited to material that does not include third-party copyright.

To successful applicants TLF issues a licence agreement, linked below, and an invoice for payment of the first year's service fee. Content is provided once the agreement has been executed and the service fee paid.

Sample our learning objects and digital resources (vendors only)

TLF offers vendors of learning management systems, digital repositories and software applications a licence to use TLF content for trial and demonstration in the Australian and New Zealand education sectors.

TLF has established a trial environment on our content management system, the Exchange, to enable e-learning application vendors to sample learning objects and digital resources.

Vendors can:

  • test connectivity and the ability to download from the Exchange using the Learning Object Repository Access and Exchange (LORAX), the protocol used by peak bodies to download content from TLF;
  • test TLF content on learning management systems, digital repositories and software applications in Australia and New Zealand education sectors;
  • demonstrate TLF content using learning management systems, digital repositories and software applications in Australia and New Zealand education sectors.

To accept the invitation to sample a broad range of TLF content, please undertake the following steps.
