The AESOC Le@rning Federation Policy Sub-group oversees The Le@rning Federation on behalf of Australian Education Systems Officials Committee (AESOC).

The Sub-group's terms of reference are to:

  • monitor the need or opportunity to accelerate any policy issues arising from TLF, particularly those that affect the achievement of TLF's objectives;
  • accelerate policy issues as required through, for example, reference to Ministerial Council on Education, Employment, Training and Youth Affairs (MCEETYA) taskforces or an existing working party, initiating a consultancy, developing a paper, or AESOC discussion;
  • provide a channel for AESOC to accelerate and ensure consistency in the broader MCEETYA agenda through TLF activity;
  • provide guidance or a 'fall back' position if the ICT in Schools Taskforce is not in a position to provide advice;
  • audit delivery performance and manage conflicts of interest as required by AESOC.
