Teachers and students in Catholic schools in Victoria are able to access TLF learning objects and digital resources through the learning management system 'Myclasses'. With access to Myclasses teachers are able to search for and add learning objects and digital resources to a class page. The improved TLF search facility within Myclasses enables teachers to search for objects and resources suitable for a particular age level, topic or curriculum area.
Myclasses provides teachers in Catholic schools with access to the latest TLF content as well as tools for scaffolding the use of this content for students.
The Catholic Education Office Melbourne provides support for teachers in the integration of TLF content into the curriculum. Support is offered through the provision of online exemplars and through professional learning programs. Eleven teachers (e-learning resource officers) are seconded two days per week to provide onsite support for primary schools in accessing TLF content and designing learning activities to scaffold the use of learning objects and digital resources for students. The same support is offered to secondary schools by Education Officers – e-Learning.
