Association of Independent Schools of WA

Primarily, access for independent schools in Western Australia was previously provided via the independent sector BELTS server. Unfortunately, due to technical problems the BELTS server is no longer operational.

However, The Association of Independent Schools of Western Australia (AISWA) is pleased that independent schools in Western Australia can still choose to access The Le@rning Federation learning objects and digital resources through one of the following methods.

  • Scholaris
  • ClickView
  • TLF DVD

Scholaris incorporates a fully integrated learning management tool through which teachers can search for, and place into a learning sequence, TLF learning objects and digital resources.

Students accessing their assignment online are then able to purposefully interact with the learning objects and digital resources. AISWA has negotiated special member pricing for schools wishing to purchase Scholaris.

Independent schools in WA may also access TLF learning objects and digital resources through subscribing to ClickView. AISWA has negotiated special member pricing for schools wishing to purchase ClickView.

TLF DVDs are sent out quarterly to member schools that have signed the License D agreement.

TLF trial access project

The Le@rning Federation Content Repository website project is an initiative to provide TLF content to users who currently are unable to gain access. The project has been completed and the site went live on 15 June 2007.

The Independent Schools Council of Australia (ISCA)–TLF Repository trial is an initiative to investigate the possibility of extending TLF's content repository to the ISCA sector.

The ISCA trial project involves five schools in WA that will be provided with access to the content repository for a period of three months. The schools have been carefully selected to represent a variety of access mechanisms to TLF content.
